The ComPac® I and ComPac® II air conditioners are used more than any other air conditioners to cool electronic and telecommunication equipment shelters throughout the world. Both units have the necessary controls and safeties for operation in cool or cold weather. The primary difference in the two units is that the ComPac® II has a factory installed economizer. The economizer cycle uses outside air, when cool and dry, to cool the telecommunications equipment. The economizer cycle can reduce run time on the compressor by up to 75% thereby extending compressor life, reducing downtime, and energy costs.

The ComPac® I and ComPac® II are built in cooling capacities of 1, 1-1/2, 2, 2-1/2, 3, 3-1/2, 4 and 5 tons. Units are built for operation on a variety of electrical supplies - 208/230v, 380v, and 460v and for either 50Hz or 60Hz. Units are listed by Underwriters Laboratories (U.L.) and rated according to the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Institute Efficiency Standard 210.

Key Features

Dehumidification Kit - ComPac I and II - Humidistat bypasses cooling thermostat and allows electric heat to operate simultaneously.
High Filtration Package - ComPac I and II - Units are built with up to 95% efficient filters. ComPac II units have a pre filter on outside air.
Hot Gas By-Pass - ComPac I only - Used in specialty applications to prevent magnetic voltage disturbance caused by compressor cycling. Two hot gas by-pass option packages are available to allow operation to 20°F (-7°C) or minus 20°F (-29°C).
Counter flow - ComPac I and II - Units can be built with air flow from the bottom of the unit for under-floor air conditioning or special requirements.
CLIMATE KITS:
- Desert Duty Kit - ComPac I and II - Sealed bearing condenser fan motor and special controls to allow improved operation in desert environments and ambients from 120°F to 130°F (48 - 54°C).
- Cold Climate Kit - ComPac II only - System controls allow for starting and operations the unit down to minus 20°F (-29°C)
